The international tax conference of the International Tax Law Research and Policy Network (ITLRN) took place on May 23 and 24 in Liechtenstein and focused on the taxation of trusts, foundations and similar structures. Organized by FS+P AG, the conference brought together around 50 speakers from over 20 countries, including representatives from the OECD, the EU Commission and national tax administrations as well as leading experts from academia and practice. Eight panels highlighted different perspectives on the topic. The conference was supported by seven universities and 25 private sector organizations, with LGT (Private Banking) being the main sponsor. Head of Government Daniel Risch opened the conference and emphasized the importance of transparent and sustainable wealth planning. The conference provided a platform for the exchange of expert knowledge and fostered valuable contacts. A total of 166 people took part and the feedback was extremely positive.
