"Location advantages require strategy and implementation"
Interview with Dr. Marco Felder, Volksblatt, 2014
Liechtenstein needs a clear economic strategy in order to assert itself in a changing environment, emphasizes Marco Felder, President of IFA Liechtenstein. An attractive tax law alone is not enough to ensure prosperity and prosperity. Accompanying measures and political decisions are also needed. Negative growth rates could jeopardize social systems and financial market supervision. Liechtenstein must develop a growth-oriented economic strategy to avert these risks. However, the political process is often slow, as broad support is required. Business associations should provide greater support to political institutions and professionalize themselves. Despite the heavy workload, strategically important issues must be addressed at an early stage to ensure stability and trust. A liberal free movement of persons and a modern tax agreement with Switzerland are essential. Urban planning must also be improved in order to create lively centers.
