ITLRN 2024
Following two successful tax conferences of the «International Tax Law Research and Policy Network» (ITLRN) in Belgrad and Milan, we are especially delighted to be hosting and co-organizing the conference in Liechtenstein. The theme of the conference is «Taxation of Trusts, Foundations and Similar Arrangements in a Global Setting». The conference takes place on May 23 and 24, 2024, at the Vaduzer Saal in Vaduz.
The ITLRN was established by the esteemed Professors Prof. Dr. Vikram Chand (University of Lausanne), Prof. Dr. Svetislav Kostic (University of Belgrade), Prof. Dr. Andreas Baez Moreno (University Carlos III, Madrid), and Dr. Mario Tenore (Of Counsel, Pirola Pennuto Zei & Associati, Italy), and includes distinguished international members from the fields of tax law research and practice. The network's primary goal is the independent expert research in the field of international tax law.
In eight panels, more than fifty notable personalities from around the world, including representatives from the OECD, as well as leading tax experts from academia and practice, will discuss the theme of the conference from various perspectives. Special attention will be given to the impacts of global and geopolitical developments, the legal and tax challenges as well as opportunities for trusts, foundations, and similar wealth structures like holding companies or family offices. The subjects of philanthropy and asset protection will also be addressed.
The research articles developed during this conference will be compiled and published in a book.
This conference offers a unique opportunity for the exchange of expert knowledge and discussion of current developments in international tax law. In addition, the event provides networking opportunities as well as a chance to establish valuable contacts. Beyond professional exchange, an engaging social program is also offered, ranging from the unique location of Liechtenstein in its alpine landscape, to culinary delights and festive moments.
On behalf of FS+P, we are very much looking forward to welcoming numerous participants from around the world to this extraordinary tax conference in Liechtenstein.
